What stays on your phone

The names, birth dates, birth times, birth places and gender you enter, and your language choice, are saved only in the app's private storage on your device. All astrological calculations run on your phone. Your Ask AI conversation history, the facts it remembers about you, and the private notes you write for each day are also kept only on your phone.

What leaves your phone, and why

• Ask AI (only when you use it). When you send a question, the app sends: your question and the recent messages of that conversation, a summary of the selected chart (birth date, time and place, gender, planetary positions, dashas, transits and yogas), the life facts you have told the app, and your chosen language. These go to our server (Supabase, hosted in India) and from there to Google's Gemini API, which writes the answer. We use Gemini's free tier, under which Google may use this content to improve its products; see ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms. Our server does not store your questions or chart; it keeps only an anonymous random ID for your installation and a count of the free questions you have used, so that daily limits work.
• Reports about AI answers. If you report an answer, that answer, the question before it, the reason you chose and your anonymous ID are stored on our server so we can review and improve the AI.
• Palm reading (only when you use it). The app asks for the camera only on the palm reading screen. The two palm photos you take are made smaller on the phone and sent to our server (Supabase), which passes them to Google's Gemini API to describe the lines; they are held in memory for that request only and are not stored on our server. Under Gemini's free tier Google may use this content to improve its products; see ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms. The reading itself is written on the phone from Gemini's description, and is not saved on our server.
• Helping the app read palms better (only if you switch it on). On the palm screen there is a switch, off unless you turn it on, that lets you share your palm so the app's own line-reading model can learn from real hands. When it is on, and only then, we keep the straightened 256×256 square of your palm that the model itself looks at, the lines the phone traced on it, the hand's measurements and the photo's light and sharpness. The original photo, the background around your hand, your name and your birth details are never part of it. It is stored privately, under the app's anonymous account for your install, so you can have it removed: turn the switch off and write to the address below, or use “Delete my AI data”, which removes that account and everything attached to it.
• Sharing your chart for research (only if you switch it on). In Settings there is a switch, off unless you turn it on, called “Share my chart for research”. When it is on, and only then, we keep your birth date, time and place, the gender you entered, what you have told the app about your life, what the engine computes from all of that (planetary positions, divisional charts, dasha periods, which classical rules fired), and a dated line for each thing you do in the app — a question asked and the answer given, a palm reading, a life fact answered. This exists for one reason: astrological prediction has never been honestly measured, and it cannot be measured against a single chart. It is kept under the anonymous account for your install — no name, no email, no phone number is ever attached — and it is used for research into whether the app’s predictions hold, not to advertise to you or to identify you. Turn the switch off to stop it, and use “Delete my AI data” to remove everything already kept.
• Feedback (only when you send it). The message you write, the kind you choose (idea, problem, praise, other), your language, the app version and your anonymous ID are stored on our server so we can read and act on it. No name or email is attached unless you write it in the message yourself.
• Place search. When you type a place name, that search text is sent to Photon (komoot, based on OpenStreetMap data) and, if it finds nothing, to the Open-Meteo geocoding service, to find the place's coordinates. No name, date or time of birth is sent with it. Privacy policies: komoot.com/privacy, open-meteo.com/en/terms.
• App updates. When the app starts it checks Expo's update service (EAS Update) for a newer version of the app's code. This request contains technical information such as the app version, platform and a random installation identifier, and no personal information. Expo's privacy policy: expo.dev/privacy.
• Speaking instead of typing (only when you tap the microphone). Your speech is turned into text by Google's speech recognition service on your phone, which sends the audio to Google to do so; see policies.google.com/privacy. The app receives only the text. It never records or stores audio, and no audio reaches our server.
• Your location (only when you tap "Use where I am now" in Prashna). The app asks Android for your approximate location (it never asks for precise location) and uses it on the phone to cast the prashna chart. To show the name of your town, the coordinates are passed to your phone's built-in geocoder, which on most Android phones is a Google service. Your location is not sent to our server and is not stored.
• Wallpapers. When you open the Wallpapers screen, the images are downloaded from our server (Supabase Storage). As with any web request, this reveals your IP address to the server; nothing else about you is sent.
• Morning notifications are written and scheduled on your phone. There is no push server, and no notification token or content leaves the device.
• Fonts and app files are bundled inside the app; apart from wallpapers, nothing else is downloaded.

What we do not do

We do not collect your contacts, your photo gallery, device identifiers for advertising, or usage analytics. The camera, the microphone and your location are used only as described above, only when you use those features. Your voice and your location never reach our server; palm photos pass through it for the reading and are not kept, unless you switch on sharing your palm for the app's own model, as described above. We do not sell personal data, and we share it only with the services named above, only to provide the feature you are using. There are no ads and no third-party trackers in the app.

Deleting your data

Open Profiles in the app and tap the delete icon next to a profile to erase it. In Ask AI, tap Delete my AI data to erase your conversation from the phone and your anonymous ID, question count, and any reports and feedback from our server. Uninstalling the app erases everything stored on the phone. That also removes any palm you chose to share and anything kept under “Share my chart for research”. You can also email us to ask for deletion; we will act within 30 days. Content already processed by Google is governed by Google's terms.

Children

The app is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
